We see Shipston Beekeeper’s Summer BBQ as an important event in our calendar. It’s a chance for members who might not be able to make 2nd Monday meetings to meet up, and for members’ partners to meet ‘the beekeepers’!
Around 35 members and partners we there for Ray’s amazing sausages and burgers accompanied by Jacqui’s superb salads and accompaniments.
The weather was kind (who can forget the absolute downpour during the 2021 BBQ), the Red Lion pub has plenty of outside seating so we sat, ate and chatted. A lovely afternoon.
The BBQ would not have happened without, and our thanks go to: Ray and Caroline organising the pub and buying the BBQ food; Lee, Ray and Clare for cooking the food and making sure everyone got what they wanted, Jacqui for all the salads etc.; and Fiona and Lucy for the cakes (no photos as I was more focussed on eating them!).
