Whilst we are called ‘Shipston-on-Stour Beekeepers’, as that’s where we were formed, Brailes these days is really our ‘home’ as it’s where our Training Apiary is. Thus the Brailes Village show is our ‘home’ show and it’s also the first of the village events with a honey show as part of the ‘flower and vegetable’ part of the event.
You know the score by now, our double-gazebo is proving to be ideal at the shows giving us plenty of room to both promote bees and beekeeping and to sell products of the hive.

Despite being a big show it did at times feel a bit ‘slow’ on the stand, but takings in the end were in line with previous years.
Honey Show
We especially encourage the new beekeepers who are looking after the colonies at the Training Apiary to enter the honey shows and, as in previous years, they had great success.

Next Up is the Tysoe show on 15th August, and the apiary visit to Lucy Stevenson’s apiary on Sunday 16th.
