Another ‘double’ for Shipston Beekeepers at the Tysoe Flower Show as we had our stand there and a number of very successful entries into the Honey classes of the Flower Show.
A constant stream of visitors to the Shipston Beekeepers stand resulted in £356.50 sales of honey and wax products.
We also had enquiries about beekeeping and becoming a beekeeper including from one person who had inherited 3 colonies this year and had extracted well over 100lbs of honey.
Special mention has to go to George and Drina Heighton who won the Deborah Williams Cup (a silver honey pot) for the highest points scored at the Flower Show and to Peter Brooks who won the Novice Award.
